The SDG Choupal (India) has partnered with UNESCO MGIEP

for the #KindnessMatters global campaign and the 2020 2nd World Youth Conference on Kindness.

The SDG Choupal (village meeting place) is a collective community initiative of Nagrik Foundation, NITI Aayog, Dr Ambedkar International Centre and over 50 partners dedicated to supporting the National and State Governments, and institutions on advocacy ,outreach and community engagement enabling localization of SDGs .

The UNESCO MGIEP #KindnessMatters global campaign aims to mobilize the world’s youth to achieve the 17 SDGs through transformative acts of kindness. The campaign collects and publishes Inspirational Stories of youth who have undertaken transformative acts of kindness to achieve the SDGs .

MGIEP organizes the annual World Youth Conference on Kindness which highlights best practices, provides intensive capacity-building to youth, and issues a Global Youth Declaration on Kindness.

“Because Abundance Starts with Giving” The SDG Choupal will be organizing Kindness Outreach Webinars with students at leading Indian Universities to present the #KindnessMatters campaign to encourage the students to submit stories of youth undertaking kindness to achieve the SDGs with their National & Global Youth Volunteer Network .

All the stories will be featured on the Global Kindness Map and the best stories will be featured on the MGIEP #Kindness website.

MGIEP will be hosting the 2020 2nd World Youth Conference on Kindness from Saturday 24 to Sunday 25 October, 2020. The virtual event celebrates the 75th anniversary of the United Nations system and will result in the release of the Global Youth Declaration on Kindness by youth calling on Governments to create a new United Nations International Day of Kindness.
